佛龛两侧的龛柱，北朝时期多为泥塑彩绘，柱子为绿色，绘金缠枝，枝叶上绘莲花、荷叶、摩尼宝珠等。

Columns on both sides of the niches for Buddha statues in the Northern Dynasty Mogao Caves are mostly painted molded clay. These green columns are decorated with interlocking gold-gilded branches, on which lotus flowers, lotus leaves, and Mani jewels are painted.
