阳关道yángguāndào原指古代经过阳关(在今甘肃敦煌西南)通向西域的大道,后来泛指通行便利的大路。{broad road; thoroughfare, esp. the one leading to the Western Region by way of Yangguan Pass to the southwest of present-day Dunhuang, Gansu Province, in ancient times;}〈比喻fig.〉有光明前途的道路{road to a bright future}:
你走你的～,我过我的独木桥。{You take the open road; I'll cross the log bridge — you go your way; I'll go mine.}也说also阳关大道{yángguān dàdào}。 |
