子虚zǐxū〈书fml.〉汉朝司马相如有《子虚赋》,假托子虚先生、乌有先生和亡({pronounced}wú,〈古arch.〉同same as‘无’{wú})是公三人互相问答。后世因此用‘子虚’、‘子虚乌有’指虚构的或不真实的事情{nil, a term originating in Rhapsody of Master Nil by Sima Xiangru of the Han Dynasty, which contains dialogues between three persons, Zixu (Master Nil), Wuyou and Wushi, and the names of the persons have since been used to refer to fictitious, imaginary or nonexistent things}: 事属~。{It is sheer fiction.} |
