谥(諡)shì
1.君主时代帝王、贵族、大臣等死后,依其生前事迹所给予的称号。例如齐宣王的‘宣’,楚庄王的‘庄’;诸葛亮谥‘忠武’,岳飞谥‘武穆’。{posthumous title (formerly bestowed on a ruler, a nobleman, or an eminent official) as apposite to the life and moral qualities of the deceased, such as xuan for Duke Xuan of Qi, zhuang for Duke Zhuang of Chu, zhongwu (loyal and valiant) for Zhuge Liang, and wumu (valiant and solemn) for Yue Fei}
