翻译fānyì
1.把一种语言文字的意义用另一种语言文字表达出来(也指方言与民族共同语、方言与方言、古代语与现代语之间一种用另一种表达);把代表语言文字的符号或数码用语言文字表达出来{translate; convert a piece of writing or speech from one language to another (also the conversion between a dialect and the standard national language, between one dialect and another in the same language or between an archaic language and a modern one); decode symbols or numerals in the form of a written language}:
～外国小说{translate a foreign novel}|把密码～出来。{decode a secret cipher}
