糟zāo

1.做酒剩下的渣子 distillers' grains;grains ［糟粕 -pò］ fig. 无价值的东西 waste matter; worthless things：取其精华，去其～～ qǔ qí jīnghuá, qù qí zāopò absorb the quintessence and discard the waste matter
2.用酒或酒糟腌制食品 pickle with grains or in wine：～鱼 zāo yú fish pickled with grains or in wine/ ～豆腐 zāo dòufu pickled bean curd
3.腐烂，朽烂 rotten; poor：木头～了 Mùtou zāo le. The board is rotten./ 布～了 Bù zāo le. The cloth is decomposed.
