1.恰当，合宜 proper：处理得～ chǔlǐ dédàng properly treated/ 用词不～ yòng cí bùdàng improperly use words/ 妥～的办法 tuǒdàng de bànfǎ an appropriate way/ 适～的休息 shìdàng de xiūxi rest for an appropriate period of time
2.抵得上，等于 equal; match：一个人～俩人用 yī ge rén dàng liǎ rén yòng (of one person) be equal to work needing two people
