1.还(hái) still; yet：年纪～小 niánjì shàng xiǎo be still young/ ～不可知 shàng bù kě zhī It is still unknown. ［尚且 -qiě］连词 conj. 表示进一层的意思，跟“何况”连用 even, used along with "hékuàng" (let alone, to say nothing of)：你～～不行，何况是我 Nǐ shàngqiě bù xíng, hékuàng shì wǒ. Even you cannot do it, to say nothing of me./ 细心～～难免出错，何况粗枝大叶 Xìxīn shàngqiě nánmiǎn chūcuò, hékuàng cūzhī-dàyè. Even carefulness cannot prevent you from making mistakes, to say nothing of carelessness.
