1.去掉阻塞使畅通 remove obstructions ( comb. -通 -tōng dredge; mediate between two parties)：～导 shūdǎo dredge; remove obstructions

3.事物间距离大，空隙大，跟“密”相反 few and far between, antonym of "mì" ( comb. 稀- xī- sparse)：～林 shū lín sparse woods/ ～密不均 shūmì bùjūn of uneven density/ 稀～的枪声 xīshū de qiāngshēng scattered shots; sporadic firing ext. 1.不亲密，关系远的 not intimate; (of relations) distant：亲～远近 qīnshū-yuǎnjìn (of relatives or connections) close or distant/ 他们一向很～远 Tāmen yīxiàng hěn shūyuǎn.
