1.固体受热变软或变为流体 thaw; melt, (of a solid) become soft or liquid when heated ( comb. -化 -huà thaw)：太阳一晒，雪就～了 Tàiyáng yī shài, xuě jiù róng le. The snow will thaw as soon as the sun shines./ 蜡烛遇热就要～化 Làzhú yù rè jiùyào rónghuà. The candle will melt when heated.
