解铃还须系铃人 | jiě líng hái xū jì líng rén | The one who unties the bells should be the one who has fastened them. (literal) • It is better for the doer to undo what he has done. [源] 指月录：“法眼问众，虎项金铃，是谁解得，众无对。清凉泰钦禅师适至，眼举前语，曰，系者解得。”
清·曹雪芹《红楼梦》第九十回：“心病终须心药治，解铃还是系铃人。”《现代汉语词典》：“解铃还须系铃人 [jiě línɡ hái xū xì línɡ rén]”。“系”读“xì”，不读“jì”。参看“心病还须心药医”。 |
