有酒有肉多兄弟,急难何曾见一人 | yǒu jiǔ yǒu ròu duō xiōng dì, jí nán hé céng jiàn yī rén | Having wine and meat, many brothers; in an emergency can one person hardly be seen. (literal) • In time of prosperity friends will be plenty; in time of adversity not one among twenty. • Prosperity makes friends, adversity tries them. • Table friendship soon changes. • Many friends, few helpers.
