(med.) (lit.) 鶴膝 hèxī, crane’s knee, name of prosodic fault in which 5th and 15th words in pentasyllabic lines of verse have the same tone, thus the 10th word (a rhyme-word) that ends the intervening even line seems to “bulge” between them, like a crane’s knobby knee.
