Better not to translate as “Confucian,” because the “Confucian”-ism of such is compact of teachings often not found in, and sometimes at variance with, the reputed words of Confucius.) b. a bibliographic category, incl. works associated with classicist teachings. 3. pedant, pedagogue; used pejoratively or humilifically to describe a book-learner, in contrast to a man of action. 4. weak(ling); docile, timid.
