Que-style Niche

定义

佛龛形制之一，取材于中国传统建筑阙，敦煌阙形龛由子母阙组成，仅存在于莫高窟十六国和北朝时期。

A form of Buddhist niche inspired by the Chinese traditional building style. Each niche has a gateway with a central tiled roof flanked by towers. Two different niche forms can be found in Dunhuang's Mogao Grottoes only and date from the two periods of the Sixteen Kingdoms and the Northern Dynasties.
