double-layer corridor

定义

后代改动前代洞窟甬道而形成的复壁 。五代以后将早期石窟之甬道缩小，在原甬道两侧 加砌土坯墙、改原甬道的矩形断面为凸字型断面，形成复壁。

It has double walls resulting from reshaping the earlier corridors in grottoes by later generations. Since the Five Dynasties, earlier corridors were narrowed and double walls were constructed by attaching adobe walls to both sides of the original corridor, turning its rectangular sectional surface into a 凸 shaped sectional surface.
