定义

简称“三个自信”，是指道路自信、理论自信、制度自信，2012年11月，胡锦涛总书记在十八大报告中提出。“三个自信”源于对中国特色社会主义的坚定信念，是对全党全国各族人民精神状态的新要求（胡锦涛，2012：16）。中共十八届三中全会通过的《中共中央关于全面深化改革若干重大问题的决定》进一步强调：“面对新形势新任务，全面建成小康社会，进而建成富强民主文明和谐的社会主义现代化国家、实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦，必须在新的历史起点上全面深化改革，不断增强中国特色社会主义道路自信、理论自信、制度自信。”坚定道路自信，就要深刻认识和把握中国特色社会主义道路的实质，这就是坚持一切从中国实际出发，实现马克思主义基本原理同中国实际相结合。坚定理论自信，就要深刻认识和把握中国特色社会主义理论体系与改革开放的关系，改革开放既是形成这一理论体系的逻辑起点，又是推动这一理论体系不断丰富完善的强大动力。坚定制度自信，就要深刻认识和把握中国特色社会主义制度的原则。科学社会主义基本原则有许多条，其中最重要的是两个方面：一是解放生产力，发展生产力；二是消除两极分化，实现共同富裕。正是在这两个最基本的方面，中国特色社会主义制度实现了理论与实践相结合、原则与现实相统一。“三个自信”既是对改革开放以来建设中国特色社会主义实践的充分肯定，也是对未来中国的发展充满信心。“三个自信”有其独特内涵，也有其显著特征：既是国家自信、民族自信与政党自信的统一，也是历史自觉、现实评判与未来预期的统一；既是合规律性与合目的性的统一，也是民族性与世界性的统一（陈金龙，2014：52）。
