A lyric poem from the Tang Dynasty, with the tune name and the author unidentified. The current name was given according to its content. The poem is composed in a “5-5-5-3-6-7-6” sentence pattern, with one homophone of a medicine name cleverly employed in each line. In this rather ingenious and entertaining manner, the poem expresses a woman pining for her lover.
