佛教因缘故事画，现存莫高窟北魏第257窟、西魏第285窟、五代第98窟，主要描绘长者送子受戒、比丘遣沙弥乞食、少女向沙弥求爱、沙弥自杀等情节。

Paintings of a Buddhist karma story, currently preserved in Cave 257 of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Cave 285 of the Western Wei Dynasty, and Cave 98 of the Five Dynasties. According to the story, an elder sent his son to the monastery to become a monk, and once the novice monk (Sāmaṇera) was assigned to beg for alms. On his way, a young maid expressed her admiration for him, and the monk committed suicide in order not to break the rule of abstinence.
