修行者不择贫富，不拣净秽，挨户依序托钵乞食。修行者借助这样的行为，可培养平等心，以消除烦恼。

Practitioners beg from door to door without discriminating between who is rich and who is poor, or which house is clean or dirty. By way of this practice, a practitioner can cultivate a sense of equality, which causes their resentment to diminish.
