定义

感性认识是认识过程的第一阶段，是人们在社会实践中接触客观事物时首先取得的东西。它反映的是事物的现象和事物的外部联系，因而是认识的低级阶段。然而这个阶段是认识过程的必经阶段，人们只有首先取得关于某种事物的感性认识，才可能进一步取得关于这种事物的理性认识（李达，2014：374）。感性认识是认识的初级阶段，人们在实践过程中，通过自己的肉体感官（眼、耳、鼻、舌、身）直接接触客观世界，引起许多感觉，在头脑中有了许多印象，对各种事物的表面有了初步认识，这就是感性认识。它反映的是事物的具体特性和外部联系，是对事物现象的认识（秦浩正，2012：316）。感性认识具有生动性、丰富性、具体性和直接性的特点，是整个认识过程的基础（刘康德，2006：10）。按照反映事物的程度和特点的不同，感性认识可区分为感觉、知觉和表象等具体形式（余源培，2009：24）。其中，感觉是客观事物的个别属性在人脑中的反映，是客观事物的现象、表面的个别特性作用于人的感官而产生的最初的反映结果。知觉是把种种感觉加以综合所形成的客观事物的整体形象，是对整个对象的反映。表象是过去感知的事物在记忆中的再现，是感性认识中较高级的形式（黄勇等，2005：38）。感性认识是生动的、丰富的、具体的和直接的认识，尚不能反映事物的本质和内部联系（余源培，2009：24）。认识开始于感性认识，即认识论的唯物论。认识的感性阶段有待于发展到理性阶段，即认识论的辩证法（《现代领导百科全书》编委会，2008：511）。
