Apsaras, Gandharva, and Kinnara, as part of the Eight Races of Non-Human Entities (Tianlong Ba Bu), became symbols of Chinese art heavily imbued with folk art characteristics. In Mogao Cave 27, six extraordinary sculptures are fixed on both sides of the Buddha, with painted clouds below them.
