Baoxiang Pattern

定义

莲花装饰纹样一种。有二:一种花形四瓣，如"十"字 形，花瓣桃形。研究者俗称"宝相花”。另一种，花瓣稠密，层层不尽，放射状。两种花形均为莲花装饰纹样之变形， 取佛教"庄严宝相"之义为名。

It is a decorative lotus pattern, which has two types: one is in the shape of a cross and has four peach-shaped petals, which is commonly known as the baoxiang flower by researchers; the other has many layers of dense petals in a radiating shape. Two types are transformed by the decorative pattern of lotus and are named after the meaning of “solemn statue of the Buddha” in Buddhism.
