或曰北凉敦煌石窟艺术、十六国敦煌艺术，敦煌石窟分期之一。指十六国北凉（421-439）时期的敦煌石窟，为北凉统治敦煌时期一次性建造的禅室、佛殿、佛堂三堂结合，集禅修、礼拜、讲经说法为一体的完整的石窟群。

It is one of the periods of the grottoes in Dunhuang, also called the art of Dunhuang grottoes of the Northern Liang Dynasty or the art of Dunhuang grottoes of the Sixteen Kingdoms period, referring to those grottoes built in the Northern Liang regime of the Sixteen Kingdoms period (421-439 AD). They are a complete grotto group, combining the functions of Buddhist meditation, Buddha worshipping and preaching together, with meditation chambers, Buddha halls and Buddhist temples built simultaneously as an integrated construction in the period when the Northern Liang Dynasty ruled Dunhuang.
