定义

分析哲学是以语言分析作为哲学方法的一个哲学流派，其主要方法包括人工语言的分析方法和日常语言分析方法。分析哲学理论最早出现于19世纪的德国，创始人是德国哲学家、逻辑学家弗雷格。后经罗素、摩尔、维特根斯坦等人的发展，分析哲学成为英国的主要哲学流派（白竹，2014：292）。分析哲学主要包括逻辑经验主义和日常语言学派，也包括批判理性主义以及20世纪60年代以后出现的不属于这些支派的分析哲学家。分析哲学家的共同特征是：（1）重视语言在哲学中的作用，把语言分析当作哲学的首要任务，甚至当作唯一任务。（2）普遍重视分析方法。（3）反对建立庞大的哲学体系，主张在解决哲学问题时要从小问题着手，由小到大地逐一解决。分析哲学是20世纪西方哲学中影响最大的哲学思潮之一，在20世纪30年代以后的英美哲学中居于主导地位（钟建，2013：142-143）。分析哲人通常被分为“两翼”（即两派）。一派由重构主义者主导，其目标是使用逻辑方法对普通语言进行改造。另一派则是由描述主义者主导，其目的仅为了描述普通语言如何运行并使用非形式特征方法。重构主义者的方法通常被认为是“硬性的”，而描述主义者的技巧则被称为是“软性的”，所以才有了“硬性”（形式）分析哲人与“软性”（反形式）分析哲人。“形式方法”的代表人物有维也纳学派的成员及其信徒（二战后主要居住在英美）；“反形式方法”的代表人物为剑桥的维特根斯坦与牛津普通语言学派。这两种方法的区别非常明显，这也导致了两派分析哲学的代表相互敌视（耶日·司泰尔马赫等，2014：77）。
