The earliest employment of this type of composition can be seen in the illustrations of the "Amitayurdhyana Sutra", drawn during the High Tang period. This structural arrangement features one major figure in the middle and two symmetrical secondary parts on either side. This is usually referred to as a "Symmetry Composition". |
