古代寓意纹样。忍冬为一种蔓生植物，俗呼“金银花”、“金银藤”，通称卷草，其花长瓣垂须，黄白相半，因名金银花。凌冬不凋，故有忍冬之称。又称卷草纹，六朝时期流行的一种植物纹样。

Honeysuckle Pattern (Rendong): an ancient pattern with symbolic significance. A type of climber, honeysuckle is commonly known as jinyin flower or jinyin vine in Chinese, and is generally called juancao (curling grass). It is called jinyin (gold and silver) since most of its flowers appear in clusters of two, often with one cluster yellow and another white. Another name for the plant, rendong (“withstanding winter”), comes from the fact that this plant does not die in winter. The honeysuckle (rendong), or juancao pattern, is a type of floral motif that was quite popular during the Six Dynasties (220–589).
