Zhu

古代一种弦乐器，似筝，已失传，大体形似筝，颈细而肩圆。演奏时，以左手握持，右手以竹尺击弦发音，声音悲壮。

A stringed instrument, roughly resembling a zheng (zither), with a thin neck and round shoulders. There are no preserved instruments in existence. When played, it is held in the left hand, and the strings are beaten with a bamboo stick in the right hand, producing a melancholy, stirring sound.
