“Karma Story of Shanhui Offering Flowers to the Buddha”

又作《善慧雪山修道文》。因缘类作品。叙述大雪山南面有一梵志婆罗门僧教学八万徒弟，其中上座善慧四月八日到王舍大城发四弘愿，后又到莲花城中听说燃灯佛出世，便向一妇人购得莲花七支献佛。

Also known as Story of Shanhui’s Cultivation on a Snow-Covered Mountain. It is a karma story, known as yuanqi or yinyuan in Chinese. According to the story, south of a great snow-covered mountain, an eminent monk from the Brahmin caste preached to some 80,000 disciples. One of the disciples, a senior monk named Shanhui, took the Four Encompassing Vows (or the Bodhisattva Vow) in Rajagrha on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month. Later, on his visit to the city of Dipavati, Shanhui heard of the birth of the Dipamkara Buddha, so he bought seven lotus flowers from a woman on his way and offered them to the Dipamkara Buddha.
