六壬liùrén〈旧时old〉一种占卜方法,用阴阳五行来推算吉凶祸福(六十组干支中,起头是‘壬’字的有六组,故称六壬){six ren-headed Stem-Branch pairs; a kind of divination by which yin and yang and the five elements of metal, wood, water, fire and earth are used to tell one's good luck, ill luck, misfortune and fortune. (Among the 60 pairs of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, there are six pairs beginning with ren, hence the ‘six ren-headed Stem-Branch pairs’.)}:
