胶(膠)jiāo
1.某些具有黏性的物质,用动物的皮、角等熬成或由植物分泌出来,也有人工合成的。通常用来黏合器物,如鳔胶、桃胶、万能胶,有的供食用或入药,如果胶、阿胶。{glue; gum; mucus; gelatin; adhesive substance obtained by boiling animal hide or horns, etc., also secreted by plants or made synthetically, e.g. isinglass, peach gum, all-purpose adhesive, usu. used to stick objects together, some being edible and used in medicine, e.g. pectin and donkey-hide gelatin}
