纪2jì

3.地质年代分期的第三级。根据生物在地球上出现和进化的顺序划分。各纪延续的时间长短不同,如寒武纪延续了八千万年,侏罗纪延续了三千万年。跟纪相应的年代地层单位叫做系(xì)。{period; third stage of geologic time divisions based on the sequence of the evolutionary stages in plant and animal development.
