突厥Tūjué我国古代少数民族,游牧在阿尔泰山一带。6世纪中叶,开始强盛起来,并吞了邻近的部落。西魏时建立政权。隋开皇二年(582)分为东突厥和西突厥。7世纪中叶,先后被唐所灭。{Tujue; Turk, an ethnic minority group of ancient China that roved the Altay Mountains in search of pasture, and which in the mid-6th century became powerful and prosperous, annexing neighbouring tribes.
