标准时区biāozhǔn shíqū按经线把地球表面平分为二十四区,每一区跨十五度,叫做一个标准时区。以本初子午线为中线的那一区叫做零时区。以东经15°, 30°…165°为中线的时区分别叫做东一时区、东二时区…东十一时区。以西经15°, 30°…165°为中线的时区分别叫做西一时区、西二时区…西十一时区。以东经180°(也就是西经180°)为中线的时区叫做东十二时区,也就是西十二时区。相邻两个标准时区的标准时相差一小时。如东一时区比零时区早一小时,西一时区比零时区晚一小时。{standard time zone, one of the 24 zones on the surface of the earth equally divided by the meridians (or longitudes).
