时辰shí·chen
1.〈旧时old〉计时的单位。把一昼夜平分为十二段,每段叫做一个时辰,合现在的两小时。十二个时辰用地支做名称,从半夜起算,半夜十一点到一点是子时,中午十一点到一点是午时。{time unit; one of the 12 two-hour periods into which the day was traditionally divided, each being given the name of one of the 12 Earthly Branches. The period from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. is called zishi, and that from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., wushi.}
