字词 | 愚公移山 |
释义 | ‘我死了有儿子,儿子死了还有孙子,子子孙孙是没有穷尽的。这两座山可不会再增高了,凿去一点就少一点,终有一天要凿平的。’(见于《列子·汤问》){Legend goes that there was an old man in ancient times known as the Foolish Old Man of North Mountain, who was determined to remove the two great mountains that stood in front of his doorway and obstructed the way. Another greybeard, known as the Wise Old Man of Meandering River, laughed at him for his foolishness of attempting the impossible. The Foolish Old Man replied: ‘When I die, my sons will carry on; when they die, there will be my grandsons, and then their sons and grandsons, and so on to infinity. High as they are, the mountains won't grow any higher and with every bit we dig, they will be that much lower. The day will finally come when they are cleared away.’(Liezi·Yin Tang's Questions)}〈比喻 |
