寸口cùnkǒu
1.〈中医Chin. med.〉指手腕上边用手按时可以觉到脉搏的部分,是切脉常取的部位。{area of the wrist where the pulse is usu. taken for diagnosis}
2.特指寸口脉中距手腕最近的部分。中医把上述广义的寸口脉由下而上地分为寸口、关上、尺中三个部分。狭义的寸口简称寸,关上简称关,尺中简称尺。{one of the three pulse-taking spots on the wrist (cunkou pulse) closest to the palm. In traditional Chinese medicine, the cunkou pulse is broadly divided into three places:
