宴尔yàn'ěr〈书fml.〉安乐。《诗经·邶风·谷风》有‘宴尔新昏(婚)’的诗句。后来就用‘宴尔’指新婚{ease and comfort; be a happy newlywed (The Book of Songs·Folksongs of Bei·Spring Breeze: ‘Happy you are at your wedding now,/With guests as brothers elder and younger’)}: ～之乐。{joy of wedding;}也作also燕尔{yàn'ěr}。
