实录shílù
1.按照真实情况记载的文字{factual record; faithful record; writing that records what has actually happened}:
这本日记是他晚年生活的～。{This diary is a faithful record of the last years of his life.}
2.编年体史书的一种,专记某一皇帝统治时期的大事,如唐代韩愈的《顺宗实录》、宋代钱若水等的《太宗实录》等。私人记载祖先事迹的文字,有的也叫实录,如唐代李翱的《皇祖实录》。{annals; records of major events during the reign of an emperor (e.g. Records of Emperor Shunzong by Han Yu of the Tang Dynasty, and Records of Emperor Taizong by Qian Ruoshui and other writers of the Song Dynasty, etc.); personal records of the deeds of one's ancestors, some of which are also called 实录 (e.g. Records of the Imperial Ancestors by Li Ao of the Tang Dynasty)}
