夸张kuāzhāng
1.夸大;言过其实。{exaggerate; overstate}
2.修辞手段,指为了启发听者或读者的想像力和加强所说的话的力量,用夸大的词句来形容事物。如‘他的嗓子像铜钟一样,十里地都能听见’。{[a figure of speech] hyperbole; exaggerate in an attempt to inspire the reader's or listener's imagination and strengthen the power of the words; e.g. ‘His voice is as loud as a bronze bell whose tolls can even be heard 10 li away.’}
