It is said that in the Song Dynasty, Qin Hui plotted and murdered Yue Fei by the east window in his home, and Ksitigarbha (Overlord of Hell) disguised himself as a monk to bear witness to the east-window plot in the human world, and before long Qin Hui died (Supreme Ruler of Hell Testifying on the East-Window Plot by Kong Wenqing of the Yuan Dynasty). According to Volume 4 of Notes on Touring the West Lake by Tian Rucheng of the Ming Dynasty, after Qin Hui's death, his wife asked a necromancer to hold a religious ceremony for Qin Hui. The necromancer saw Qin bearing an iron cangue and being tortured in Hell, and heard Qin Hui tell him: ‘Please tell my wife that the east-window plot has been exposed.’ Hence the term, referring to the exposure of a crime or plot.}也说 |
