国家机关guójiā jīguān
1.行使国家权力、管理国家事务的机关。包括国家权力机关、国家行政机关、审判机关、检察机关和军队等。如我国的全国人民代表大会、国务院、地方各级人民代表大会和人民政府、各级人民法院、人民检察院、公安机关等。{state organ; state agency; government office; organ that carries out state power and runs state affairs, including organ of state power, organ of administration, judicial organ, procuratorial organ, military armies, etc., e.g. the National Peo-ple's Congress, the State Council, the people's congresses at local levels, the people's governments at all levels, the people's courts at all levels, the people's procuratorates at all levels, the public security organs at all levels in China;}也叫also政权机关{zhèngquán jīguān}。{(organs of state power)}
