吉光片羽jíguāng piàn yǔ〈古代arch.〉传说,吉光是神兽,毛皮为裘,入水数日不沉,入火不焦。‘吉光片羽’指神兽的一小块毛皮,比喻残存的珍贵的文物{tiny bit of the fur from the body of the celestial animal jiguang; (fig.) fragment of a priceless artifact. Legend has it that the fur that covered jiguang's body neither sank even after being soaked in water for days nor got scotched when thrown into a fire}:
