合成词héchéngcí两个以上的词素构成的词。合成词可以分为两类{compound word; word composed of two or more morphemes, which falls into two categories}:
a)由两个或两个以上词根合成的,如‘朋友、庆祝、火车、立正、照相机、人行道’。{words composed of two or more roots, such as 朋友 péng·you, 庆祝 qìngzhù, 火车 huǒchē, 立正 lìzhèng, 照相机 zhàoxiàngjī and 人行道 rénxíngdào}b)由词根加词缀构成的,如‘桌子、瘦子、花ㄦ、木头、甜头、阿姨’。前一类也叫复合词,后一类也叫派生词。{words composed of roots and affixes, such as 桌子 zhuō·zi, 瘦子 shòu·zi, 花儿 huār, 木头 mù·tou, 甜头 tián·tou and 阿姨 āyí.
