1.我国容量单位，1斗是10升 dou, a unit of dry measure for grain ( = 1 decalitre)
2.量(liáng)粮食的器具，容量是1斗，多为方形 a dou measure, a square container for meting out grains fig. 1.形容小东西的大 (of a small thing) big：～胆 dǒudǎn venture; be bold 2.形容大东西的小 (of a big thing) small; limited：～室 dǒushì a small room/ ～城 dǒuchéng a small town
