1.涂 put on; smear ( comb. 涂- tú- smear; paint)：伤口上～上点药 Shāngkǒu shɑng mǒshɑng diǎn yào. apply some ointment (medicine) onto the wound/ ～上石灰 mǒshɑng shíhuī smear (the wall, etc.) with lime
2.揩，擦 wipe：～眼泪 mǒ yǎnlèi wipe one's tears; be weeping/ 一～一手黑 yī mǒ yī shǒu hēi get one's hand dark with one wiping
