1.趋向同一个方向，跟“逆”相反 in the same direction, antonym of "nì"：～风 shùnfēng have a favourable wind; have a tail wind/ ～水 shùnshuǐ downstream; with the stream/ 通～ tōngshùn (of writing) clear and coherent; smooth
2.沿，循 along：～河边走 shùn hébiān zǒu walk along the river ext. 依次往上往下或依次往后 go up or down, backward or forward successively：～着楼梯 shùnzhe lóutī (go) up (or down) the stairs/ ～着台阶 shùnzhe táijiē (go) up (or down) the flight of steps/ ～着坡 shùnzhe pō down the slope/ 遇雨～延 yù yǔ shùnyán postpone in case of rain
