1.物体组织紧密，性质坚固，跟“软”相反 hard; stiff, (of solid things) tight and firm, antonym of ruǎn：～煤 yìngméi hard coal; anthracite/ ～木 yìngmù hard wood
2.刚强有力 strong：欺软怕～ qīruǎn-pàyìng bully the weak and fear the strong ext. 1.坚强，不屈服 firm and unyielding ( comb. 强- qiáng- firm)：～汉子 yìnghànzi a man of iron/ 态度强～ tàidu qiángyìng take an unyielding attitude 2.蛮强 act rashly：～抢 yìngqiǎng rob rudely/ 生拉～拽 shēnglā-yìngzhuài obtain reluctant obedience; farfetched
