1.指引，带领 lead; head：领～ lǐngdǎo leader/ ～师 dǎoshī tutor; supervisor/ ～航 dǎoháng navigate ［导言 -yán］绪论 introduction; introductory remarks ［导演 -yǎn］指导排演戏剧或指导拍摄电影，也指担任这种工作的人 direct, plan and direct the performance of a play, a motion picture or a show on television or radio; also director, the person who does such work
2.传导，引导 conduct：～热 dǎorè conduct heat/ ～电 dǎodiàn conduct electricity/ ～体 dǎotǐ conductor/ ～淮入海 dǎo Huái rù hǎi channel the Huaihe River into the sea
