还（還） hái
ㄏㄞ副词 adv.
1.仍旧，依然 still; yet：你～是那样 Nǐ háishì nàyàng. You're still like that./ 这件事～没有做完 Zhè jiàn shì hái méi yǒu zuò wán. This hasn't been finished yet.
2.更 even more; still more：今天比昨天～热 Jīntiān bǐ zuótiān hái rè. It is even hotter today than yesterday.
3.再，又 also; too：另外～有一件事要做 Lìngwài háiyǒu yī jiàn shì yào zuò. Besides, there is something else to do./ 提高产量，～要保证质量 Tígāo chǎnliàng,háiyào bǎozhèng zhìliàng. Not only the quantity of the products should be increased, but also the quality should be assured.
4.尚，勉强过得去 passable; fairly：身体～好 shēntǐ hái hǎo feel fairly well; be in a fairly good condition/ 工作进展得～不算慢 Gōngzuò jìnzhǎn de hái bùsuàn màn. The work is making a fairly fast progress.
5.尚且 still; yet：他那么大年纪～这么干，咱们更应该加油干了 Tā nàme dà niánjì hái zhème gàn, zánmen gèng yīnggāi jiāyóu gàn le. He is still working so hard despite his old age. We should work even harder. ［还是 -shi］1.表示这么办比较好 expressing a preference for an alternative：咱们～～出去吧 Zánmen háishi chūqu bɑ. We'd better go out. 2.连词，用在问句里表示选择 conj.
